it's ok , I have been watching some of it on Paramount+

production quality is meh , on one of the stand offs near the end of season 1 , he is holding a lever gun , it keeps switching between a 1873 and a 1894 hammer back hammer forward hammer back hammer forward

makes you think they have one blank firing gun and one dummy and they have to keep switching based on who is being pointed at or not

makes you wonder how many cuts that scene took

Saw both seasons, I hope you enjoy it, I was pretty tired of it after awhile, writing, storyline and acting was eh, in my opinion....

The books were good..

If you read the books you will never watch another TV episode. They destroyed the whole thing.

But even in the books. CJ Box makes a lot of firearms errors.

I did it backwards. Watched the series first, THEN read the books (haven't read them all yet, only the first 4 I think). The books are better than the series, as is usually the case, but I didn't find the series to be awful. They do, however, portray Pickett to be more of dingbat in the TV show than he is in the books.

I imagine I would probably feel the same if I'd read the books first though.

Last year I watched some TV version of Atlas Shrugged and spent the whole time cussing at the TV LOL.

Interesting about Atlas Shrugged. The first one wasn't too bad but the third part was terrible.

Hollywood had resisted many efforts to make that movie back in the 1960's - 70's for obvious reasons.

I think the version that eventually made it onto film was done on a shoestring budget without much formal support from the major studios

I agree that the first one wasn't bad, but the second was worse than the first, and the third worst of all. Didn't help that they changed the actors portraying the characters in every one of them!

On the other hand, Pete, who has never read the book, seemed to enjoy the movie version okay. But having read the book, I just couldn't get onboard with the movie.
