Due to the devastation brought about by the recent hurricane, folks are in need of help. If you have a mind to contribute, I highly recommend Samaritan's Purse. They're a trustworthy organization and are already at sites helping out.

John 14:6 Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."

Yep!

Contributed to them already.

I like the fact that they work in Jesus' name; giving Him the glory.

Thanks, Paul!

Heading up tomorrow. It has been very hard to get pallets of food or water. Was able to get a good quantity of gas, baby formula, diapers, and wipes, but still needing to track down a couple pallets of food.

Loading and enclosed trailer this evening destined for Avery County. Arrangements have been made with the authorities up there to get the supplies to a distribution point.

I’m in Hendersonville, if anyone coming up needs water or a place to stay 828-606-5742. It’s a war zone here. Love my trapper family. That being said, we may be eating rice and old bbq but the LORD blessed me with live family members and good neighbors. No power but we have a generator and gas. My house was spared. Coondagger, you have a place to stay need be. Swannanoa, Fairview, chimney rock were the worst. I pray Charles is good. Over 60 deaths and climbing buncombe. Anything I can do call that number!!!!! TRAPPER STRONG!

Scout, thank you sir. I was in Swannanoa today. Dropped off quite the load of supplies. Already planning another trip. Gonna get cold next week. They are already requesting blankets, sleeping bags, etc

We had multiple tornados hit here this spring, we have a response team house here. But the Samaritan purse is who I seen here doing the most. They hung in until most everything was cleaned up . First I heard of them but I was impressed with them.
Donations are certainly accepted but working hands are too!

Donated. Thanks for the post Paul

Coondagger, thank you for your help! If in Henderson county call if you need anything. Mountain people thrive in these times.

I have awesome neighbors! Except one pipe hitter whom everyone is letting know to tread lightly. His life has already been treated, not by me. We are all pitching in and helping like no other. I’ve already tasked a young man to get a doe for a community cookout.

I’m about 10-15 miles from chimney rock. Probably the hardest hit. It’s bad, but then again, I have met great neighbors I would have never met until now. I’ve have phone calls from all over wanting to know how to help. I can’t ask for more than I have at home.

Our county, Buncombe County, lost four school students. Twelve more are missing but assumed to be living elsewhere. One family north of us lost 11 members! We have 41 deaths in our county as of today.

Many, many homes and businesses have no water, and those of us who do, must boil ours first. Fifteen percent of cell customers are down after two weeks.

Charles, there are many more than 41 dead in your county. I spent last week in Swannanoa and they recovered more than 41 in one day there. The numbers being reported on the news are not accurate in any way shape or form. It is truly sad
