Took Connie with me to check traps today, she wanted to go for a canoe ride. We were headed home and just cruising along at about 60 mph when the passenger side, lower ball joint on my pickup broke! We were northbound and ended up on the shoulder of the southbound lane, lots of scratching tire noise under Connie’s feet, spooked her some . Tire turned side ways in the wheel well , but the cva axle and tie rod kept the wheel assembly in the wheel well, right lower ball joint stud and nut ground off before we stopped! Hour wait for the wrecker, but he backed the truck right into my shop for me.
Got it tore apart, ruined tire, cva axle, wheel speed sensor, and both upper and lower ball joints broken. Tow was $427.00, but I caught four beaver!!! lol

Rally same thing happened to me last summer, lucky i was only going 35, hit big hole and bam....i was on way to shop to fix before it broke ! Waited 2 hours, said screw it and call differant wrecker. AAA sucks

Rally I am glad you both are alright. That could have ended differently, especially if there was heavy traffic. Hopefully your Will is up to date and you have the correct spelling of my name on it.

This is one of the best roads in the county, and the ball joints were only three years old! From looking close at the lower joint, it was cracked for some time. Have all the parts ordered, for both sides, new tire mounted this afternoon. Should be up and running in a week.

I picked a guy up that was standing by a upside down Ford pickup over west of Jordan MT. He lost the drivers side ball joint and went across the road and ditch and up a steep bank and rolled back down. He was OK other then some small cuts and being beat up. I gave him a ride into Jordan. He had a chain saw in the cab and when he rolled the bar ran across his head. It mad a good slice in his scalp.

Did not break the casinos, as there was 4 speed bumps on the way back.
Your speed bump is a little more expensive.
If AAA is anything like CAA one thing they do in Manitoba was sold off-shore to Ontario and then on the week-ends it is off -shore to Puerto Rico need I say anymore

Road hazard on that tyre best check, they usually will cover it, 100 % separation of some tread once it goes on a balancer it tells them when it spins
