Yes, those Asian beetles are HORRIBLE around here the last few years. They typically show up Spring and Fall and get into everything. The South side of the house will be covered with them and they stink too.
I have nothing clever to put here.

How many of you having the Asian lady bug issues have soybeans growing in your regions?

We had them terrible 5-6 years ago. They followed the sugarcane aphids north. My wife vacuumed a pickup load of the dang things

Lady bugs don't bite, but these little buggers sure do. I don't know if they are, but they should be listed as an invasive species. We vacuum them up and your whole house stinks with the smell.

The asian marmorated stink bug is our main culprit these days. The worst part is the damage the immature beetles do to our crops. Between them and the asian spotted-wing fruit fly we lose thousands in crop damage every year.
My fear of moving stairs is escalating!

There's a difference between lady bug (our friends)
And
Asian lady beetles (annoying invasive)
My understanding is that when a certain aphid started impacting yields in U.S. soybeans (remember, soybeans in the U.S. has only been grown commercially for about a 100 years and not on large scale until the later 1950s), USDA people looked around for a native control to the aphids and imported the "Asian lady bug" to take on the soybean aphids. Now, in Vinke's area where they don't grow soy, perhaps the biting lady bugs are now acclimatized to all parts of temperate North America OR if they are used in western conifer forests for some other insect control, than maybe that's where they come from in non-soy cultivation areas. I think soybeans only surpassed all wheat in the 1980s as the 2nd most grown crop in the U.S. by overall area planted but I'll check my sources at the office tomorrow.

Tempo works great. I used to just spray around the windows and doors. Now (for about the last 8 years) I spray the entire house and garage. Soy beans or corn, doesn't matter. The first frost sends them looking for a place to crawl into.

We don't have them but we do have these godawful, Box Elder bugs, they get every where, birds don't eat them, bad weather don't take them out, have to wait until is winter cold to knock them down, was in bed one night and half asleep and felt something crawling down my ear, and dug that sucker out before he could set up shop, it's crazy here in the fall with them !!
