Nothing I did wrong , but on the way up ( with a pully) the upper stand base caught on a 2" Maple tree and put pressure on the 2x4 legs....Broke..


I also do NOT believe that Green treated 2x4's are as strong as they once were- more knots makes weak spots.

So...I will re-build with 2 x 6 0r laminate two 2x4's to make a almost 4 x4

If you're gonna rebuild with 2x 2x4s, rip some 1x2 plywood 3.5" wide and sandwich it in between the 2x4s.

I have one of those in 2 man jbird it's very comfortable and held up great the last 6 or 7 years left up. need to move it the ash tree it's in has ash bores

These stands, like many others can pop and creek. I don't care for them.

Pop and creak?? Man I got $79 Walmart 2 man specials that you can do a workout on and no noise. Of course I’m a stickler for making sure the only way that joker could possibly fall would be if the tree falls.
As far as Tower Stands go, we buy’em. My son has one that literally survived 2 tornadoes and 2 hurricanes and still standing. Trees down all around it, yet it still stood and the covering was still fine. Now, 7 years later, it needs a new covering from sun rot, but the actual stand and floor is still rock solid. The only issue is it takes a 16ft trailer and at least 2 people to place it or move it.

You got more in time and lumber than a factory stand like I posted. I paid 135 bucks fir mine. Plus you need a seat. I’m broken down and can put that Denali up by myself no problem. It is the most comfortable stand you will ever sit in. Guarantee

No noise even raising the shooting rail. Most comfortable stand made BAR NONE. I bought 3 of them in March for 135 bucks each. Have 5 total like this one.

mine has a heater and radio and ac too when i need to move i just start it up and drive over to the next hill !!
