Today, we laid my nephew , lance corporal conner Robertson to rest.
I tried to compose myself as best as I could,, because I wanted to be strong for my sister and brother in law.
When the 21 gun salute and taps rang out,,, from the United States Marine corps… and they presented the folded flag to my sister… I couldn’t do it guys. I just couldn’t.
I was told something today that I’ll never forget,,
The streets of heaven are guarded by the United States Marines,,, I believe that that is spot on correct.

I learned this morning that Conners fellow brothers “ tucked him in” I’ve always heard about marines going above and beyond to have each other’s back,,,,
I was also told that conners gunny stood guard over conner..not only during the visitation, but also throughout the night,,, he didn’t sleep , he didn’t sit down,,,,
