Learned a long time ago the majority of famous people are people that just haven’t disappointed you yet, it’s better not to meet them they are better off left alone.

No other than to answer him when he asks about a bull I unloaded and what it does (spin, kick, left, or right) we have never spoken. He is a hoot tho, I know that.
Of the past PBR champs, I'd rather hang out with Mike White or Adriano Morales than anyone. Those 2 never met a stranger and will never forget a friend. Down to earth good dudes. Adiano won't admit it, but back in the day he hooked me up with the best sponsor I ever had. I'm purdy sure he can even sleep with that big smile on his face.

I met and became good friends with Wally Hilgenberg of the MN Vikings. We were both involved in Christian activities. One evening at one of those activities we were at a dinner sitting with Wally and his wife when my wife passed out. She had given blood that day. Wally and I had to carry her out to my car. It was in the winter and below zero. She came to and we went home. Missed out on the steak dinner. Wally died a few years later from Lou Gehrig's Disease. A wonderful human being.
I love professional boxing. Went to a boxing match in ND. It was televised for Saturday Night Fights. I was in the casino's cafeteria having lunch prior to the start of the fights. The table next to me was Teddy Atlas who was at one time the boxing trainer for Mike Tyson. Got to visiting with him and he said see me ringside during the fights and I'll give you a T-shirt. He was a very nice, cordial guy. Sugar Ray Leonard was there as well sitting with Teddy. Got to shake hands with him. I overheard Sugar Ray trying to convince Teddy to train a guy who was on the fight card that night. Teddy said he'd have to see him fight first. I don't know if he ever trained the guy or not. Sugar Ray seemed like a nice, likeable person too.

I met Miss America 1970 and her court in Germany in 1972. We were waiting for our ride to go back to our barracks, after a USO show, when they walked out in the parking lot. Our rides were late. So we talked in the parking lot until our duce and a half arrived.

PF I am same way, brother. IV never understood the "fan" girl type swooning over some celebrity. Now I kinda get it. Id probably poop ma pants to get chance to meet one of the people from a self defense company called ASP. In an appropriate, platonic sort of way. Love the message of self defense for everyone. That no matter your political status or religion, race. Everyone deserves the right to defend their life against violence. They educate the public in a way it's available to everyone. Anyway,I'll stop gushing now. Lol I would probably be very nervous meeting anyone here, too. Just because y'all are so talented and I know I'm not anywhere near as such.

Nope, never met anyone famous, that I knew of at least.
That would probably require being around crowds, and that is WAY down on my list of things to do.

PF, you ever make it to WI, my door is open.
You could offer courses, write some books or make some videos. Maybe u tube. Sharing your knowledge and skills and make a little profit possibly. Someday hopefully I will take you up on that. Can get some cheese and maybe shoot some grouse. Wish I still had a kennel full of English setters sometimes. .

I’m now impressed! Back when every Sunday night was spent watching bull riding, Morales was the Bomb!! That guy looked like poetry in motion on a bull. Every interview showed how thankful he was doing what he did. Seemed like a great guy!

* Jeff Lageman (former Jax Jaguars player) - turkey hunted 2 days with him.
* Chuck Leavell (longtime keyboard player for Rolling Stones ) - met him at local youth deer hunt.

* Terry Beene (Branson Terry Awards namesake & former band member for many country singer, including Willie Nelson, Oak Ridge Boys, etc) - met and had supper with him while on a trapping job for wealthy landowner.

*Wayne Pearson (outdoor TV show personality/ESPN Outdoors) - competed against him twice in 3D archery/invited to shoot doves on his farm, which was located in my home county.

*Jackie Malone (aka JTrapper) - met him a few weeks ago at GTA convention!!!!

There are a few others but my memory is failing me....

Dang Swamp, Wayne Pearson is a name I haven’t heard in a while. He had an outdoors show back in the day and was hoot to watch!! We ran into him fishing Blackshear one weekend and he was as down to Earth as anyone. We were on a shell cracker bed and dad invited him to scoot on in and get on it. He stayed off a ways and they talked for 20min or more before he moved on looking for another bed. It wasn’t until a little later on I was watching a show and realized that was him.

Took the neighbor kid to MO years back he was a smart kid with no common sense really sadly he’s a lawyer now we thought he’d do better in life. So we stopped at a truck stop and Conway Twitty’s tour bus was there. The bus was named Twitty Bird like the cartoon character so my other buddy goes, there’s “Twitty Bird” and the kids goes where, where?
Same kid would sit up and look around at every deer crossing sign and look for deer I’d just shake my head.

Wannabe Adriano was the man both on and off the back of the bull. At one time, Asriano was winning the PBR and I swear if he was 90 (which didn't happen all that often back then) and the same round you put up a 91- dude would meet you at the walk out gate and unless you got your hand up first to high 5, he would prolly wrap you up in a bear hug and lift her feet of the ground. He loves the sport, he loves others around him, and he loves America.
And he even speaks Englisj now- back when he first came up not so much.

He would show a a bull well- Jim Sharp and Michael Gaffney were about as good to watch.

Terry Don West and Tuff never looked comfortable on the back of a bull but it sure was hard to buck em off until quiting time.
