I didn't read anything in there about tearing statues down. I read let's look at the facts of history, instead of the story of history. Both sides have their version, and the truth is somewhere out there.

Just wasn't a federal holiday until somebody figured out there wasn't a federal day off in Oct, so they upped the status. As for those that want to dis on Columbus, do they think the americas would remain undiscovered and pristine even today? Easy to vote your way into socialism, but impossible to vote your way out of it.
