I'm in the market for a new headlamp, I'm also very cheap. I've bought off Amazon in the past and got them for $40 that work well for 3-4 years and I'll buy again if I can't find anything better. Looking for something with a tight beam to spot fields and also something simple and not over engineered where you have to click through 7 modes just to turn the dumb thing off. What are y'all using? Thanks

I’m a light junky. Nebo, Olight and Fenix all have great headlamps. I can get you models if you need. Those are not spotlight headlamps just top end at a good price trapping lights

a Klein tools , that is rechargeable usb it has a spot , a flood and both , long battery life , all white


the other one is a black diamond , they don't make it any more as I was asking about headlamps hear years ago and it was a recommended one , 3aaa it has a decent white and red not really a great spot but has to be almost 10 years old.

the red light is nice for walking to a deer stand in the morning.

Two main headlamps are a Petzl tikka and a black diamond storm. The petzl has run sundown to sun up multiple times on one set of AAA’s which I thought was pretty impressive.

I got a fenix. Has rechargeable capabilities that was nice to plug into the truck USB. Very bright. Have some tikkas and a BD watt? As back up

I like my Nebo too! 3 modes. High, low, and push it twice fast is strobe. Usb rechargeable. Can use it to drive a utv or 4 wheeler without headlights on . I got it from Cumberland's Northwest trapper supply in Owatonna, MN. I've had these at least 4 years.

The one headlamp Ive never lost is the first model of Alaskan Guide series from Cabelas. Single on/off operation. Its stretched out and i have to keep the battery packed shut with tape, but its as bright as it ever was and probably 18 years old.

The black one came with a decent pocket knife and was marked down on clearance.
I found Lowes had a clearance on Craftsman branded ones 2 years ago and I probably bought 20. Everyone got a headlight and flashlight for Christmas
I still have 1 or 2 new in the package to use

I like coast, used this for years. I like the spot beam feature on those they showed eyes reflection from a long ways off, and just got a rechargeable Milwaukee that is pretty bright with multiple settings. I can recharge it at home or in truck with USB connection.

I have a Pretzel that I keep put away for my use only for hunting and such.

I use a Nebo on my hard hat and love it. But I retired this week (kind of) so it'll be my go to light for daily use now.

I buy cheapo's to keep in the house for everyone else to use because they usually get left where they were at last.

Once I found Fenix, I never tried any others..... Maybe there are better ones on the market, but Fenix goes above and beyond my needs and expectations...
