I don't know anything about what was/is going on but personally, I've never understood why people whine and cry when they show up in somebody else's backyard, play with somebody else's toys, and then get mad when they are told there are rules to play in this yard. "You shouldn't give me rules! My mommy don't give me any so you can't either!" mentality. That "I don't take rules" mentality seems to make the circle pretty regular. And of course there's always the "big kids" who want to smoke in the corner and the little ones should just stay on the swingset if they don't like smoking.
