Family of Skunks living under Shed , Any way to remove without Traps ? I have lots of very little Children and Dogs , Thank you

Like stated cage traps are your best bet around pets and children but you need a plan to deal with one once it’s caught. I’m amazed at the amount of people that set traps with no plan to deal with a skunk once it’s caught. I had a call a couple days ago from a lady that caught one next to her house under her deck then started looking for someone to deal with it.

Get a cage some Police Depts or Game Depts loan them out or some hardware farm supply or fram improvement store sell cheaper ones that are ok for skunks but not good for bigger coon.

Seal the base of the shed with l shaped wire into the ground, except for a small area. Install a one way door.
Finish exclusion after a couple of days.

LOL, Tomato baths are worthless! You can't neutralize an acid with an acid, gotta be an alkaline.

1 qt Hydrogen Peroxide
1/4 cup Baking Soda
1 good squirt liquid dish soap

Mix well, use immediately
Do not rty to save leftovers

the peroxide doubles as a good way to make your dog puke up stuff there weren't supposed to eat but don't be real surprised when they don't want to drink from your water bottle later.

Yep so do all your buildings

Cover entire building with tarp, lots of soil along the bottom, dryer exhaust hose under one part of tarp hooked to exhaust of nearest vehicle for couple hrs

I read it but the verminator is going to level that shed so a tube trap seemed like a better Idea

isn't lots of small kids and dogs the reason for dealing with the skunks , sometimes everyone needs a little protective custody till things get sorted

Go to one of our sponsors, WCS. Dig Defense is a stake fence system designed for that. While there get you a one way door system. Enclose the base with dig defense and install the one way. They come out and can't get back in. But you'd be better off catching and dispatching. The dig defense and a double door cage would be ideal.
