I have the things I used to pray for.
I have been to the places I used to dream of going.
I have seen the things I used to dream of seeing.
I have done the things I used to dream of doing.

I am at the point in my life where I am adding things to my list.

Sounds simple maybe just because it hasn’t happened yet. Looking forward to being a grandpa at some point. Got 2 grown boys ages 18-25. None married yet. Hope nothing crazy happens to me before one of them carries forward our last name.

I figure I've already lived the equivalent of 3-4 lifetimes. I can't ask for much more. I want my passing to be painless and easy on my wife and kids. I hope I'm remembered as a good person, one that could be counted on. I want my traps, guns, and fishing poles to be appreciated and used. I hope my dogs will be taken care of and scruffed behind the ears from time-to-time. I hope not to leave too big of a mess for others to have to deal with.

Many, if not most of my objectives have been met. I am enjoying God’s blessings, a bit of success, and now regularly adding new goals. In the immediate future, I would certainly like to find a Booner buck.

Beginning March 1 of next year I will build a new custom house for my wife. She deserves it.

Wife and I are creating a foundation that will provide limited access outdoor experiences for handicapped children, their parents, and their siblings.

Always wanted to see the northern lights, got lucky a few weeks ago and didn't have to leave the yard!, lol

Also thought it would be cool to see the great plains as it was when the early explorers first saw it, not sure if that is even possible to see even fragments.....

I want to trap way up north for a wolverine, wolf, lynx. And I would love to go to Iceland, maybe Australia.

3 x on the big trees, also grand canyon basically want to see all the things in our great country I have only read about. Maybe trip across Europe to see the old buildings and history, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, the rain forest maybe I will gather to the international stuff when I retire. If not I'm very happy and content now with all my blessings.

Interesting ? just a couple days ago my sons asked me if there was something I would like to do with them. They said: Dad we are financially well enough off that we would like to spend a special time with you doing something you always wanted to do and we will pay for it. Right now they work a lot and have spend very little time with me over the last few years. I will be 70 next year and they know that my time with them could come to an end sooner than latter.
I have been thinking about this for a few days. If I do not choose something they will be upset with me and also it will not be fair to them to not have a special memory for them to always cherish. So: I always wanted to hunt an elephant but that does not really include them other than them being a long. One other thing is to catch a marlin. I have been looking into possibly fishing for black marlin off the Great Barrier Reef in Australia. This way they could share the experience by also fishing. If you have done it let me know.

I have everything I pretty much want at my home, a small chunk of land, a great wife and lots of things to keep my mind and body busy.
I''d be just fine if I never had to step foot off this place for the rest of my life.
