Anyone ever use deer, racoon, or fox tails as an attracting at bobcat cubbies. Got a bunch of tails I don't know what to do with.

Only ever feathers. Not sure how well a tail would move in the breeze. I’m sure it can be done though.

Skunk tails from the bad hide ones and chicken wings move well but if you go to light the wind just tangles the works up quickly.

I've caught a cat or two using a fox tail hanging near a set.

We can't use natural fur/hair/feathers here.... but if you attach your tails to a fishing snap swivel and then to a light gauge wire, it will spin and move enough in a breeze to catch a cat's eye. I prefer the light wire over mono line personally, because it helps keep it from fouling up in the brush if it gets a bit windy.

Spike if the snow gets deep and your cats are hungry, a cubby is a great choice and I've taken cats in them with out even baiting. But if you have a nice trail I much prefer a trail set. The walk thru is like a blind set on steroids because you can guide a cats foot so heavily you can't really miss.

As far as flaggin, ive tried all kinds of things and I think all work. Cassette tape twists with even a slight breeze and reflects light back with a shimmering motion which works great.

I think it was Carlis Stephen's who showed me the best way to hang a wing or tail. Instead of a spin, you can get a flutter by using 2 wires. One to the wing with a triangle shaped loop with the other wire secure to a limb but also a triangle intertwined with the first. In the breeze it ways back and forth and the cat will get curious.

Yall know what they say, curiosity got the cat caught.

I had a stack of blank CDs that I used, and simply used a wire (or two wires like LeftLane). I have usded fishing line too, but two thin wires worked the best (and didn't get tangled up in branches and brush as much). I would loosly connect the wires and that connection works just as good as a fishing swivel. I would try to hang them with 3~9 feet from the door of the cage... (or cuby if your going that route). I rearly lost the CDs, so I could reuse them year after year, the case that they came in was a part of my trapping bag.
