Heart rate and blood pressure varies for many normal and some abnormal reasons. You are monitoring your heart rate for a reason of some kind. What activities were occuring before, during, and after the event, what medications and when are they being taken, time in the bathroom, etc. If reoccurring, I would encourage you to be asking either your primary practitioner or your cardiologist. It certainly could be a sign of a potential problem.

I’m not concerned with the spikes I can explain, it’s that drop to 46 that I can’t that has me bugging. lol

Need to see a cardiologist. I had that happen about 15 years ago. Started off with the heart rate dropping to 45 then over a weeks period it started to become more frequent until I ended up in the hospital. They hooked me up to a machine. Everytime I started getting lightheaded I could watch the machine drop. It went to zero a few times. Ended up getting a pacemaker because the electrical portion of my heart was giving up. Get checked out, man. It might save your life.

Hobie, Spike is correct. The cardiologist can give you a temporary heart rate monitor for a week to wear. They will then review those 7 days and give diagnosis. Better to be safe than sorry.

So the half a dozen guys that I have worked with that almost died of heart problems all had symptoms they didn't know were symptoms so the symptoms they were having were accidently ignored. A common thread was that they noticed they started getting tired and out of breath more often than they used to. Like walking from one side of the plant to the other. They had been doing it for years and then found themselves stopping in the break area half way to sit down and take a break. Like they were tired and out of breath. Turns out they were tired and out of breath b/c their heart wasn't pumping blood with fresh oxygen in it very well. When you have blockages or heart issues or whatever and oxygen isn't getting to where it needs to go in the quantities it needs to be your brain tells your body that you are out of breath and need to breath heavy b/c it wants more oxygen. Problem is you are breathing in enough oxygen just fine its just not getting delivered to where it needs to go.

As far as you having one flyer data point dropping out? Thats probably your measurement device and not your actual heart rate right? Hard to say over the tman innnerweb so the best advice is for you to go ask a dr locally. Get some real tests done not from a watch.

I’m not a doctor. I am a RN with many years experience in the ER and Cath Lab/EP lab. I’ve been a Cardiovascular Service line Director for the last 20 years and have seen many many many people present with similar symptoms. Lots of variable on your BP dropping. Were you going from sitting to standing, laying to standing? Sounds like you had no other symptoms however it’s possible you have been going in and out of Atrial Fibrillation. A-Fib is the most common rhythm problem. Some people are very symptomatic with A-Fib and others feel no symptoms at all. Could be other things but bottom line, it’s not worth risking it. It’s always best to address these issues asap. I strongly recommend following up with a good cardiologist who may refer you to a Electrophysiologist. You will be fine but get this checked out by a physician.
