Wife always buys candy I like so get the leftovers. We are in kind of a weird spot in neighborhood. Nextdoor neighbor brought their little guy over for his first Halloween trick or treating. So one so far With wind and cold maybe the only one. Guess will see. We have had years with none. When kids were little maybe 25 kids was most ever.

We're in a secured apartment complex so non-resident access is limited. We up candy out for the kids in the complex, but with new owners there was nothing organized as in past years. Texts were sent out to a few of our neighbors.
This year was busy with tricker treaters out on the street. Kids, parents pulling wagons, carloads, utvs, even a JD tractor pulling two hay wagons.
I've been contemplating a slide or cannon to launch candy across the courtyard from the third floor to the kids out on the street.

We had planned on going out of town for a party tonight. We didn't know what to expect here at the new house...This was the plan:
I built a tripod with a paper matchet witches cauldron hanging from it at the front porch. I filled it with candy bars, and let them take what they wanted on the honor system.
The weather cancelled the party. so I'm just sitting around monitoring the pot. Just a few kids. The pot is so obvious that the kids don't bother to ring the bell, just grab and leave.
I live on a sparsely populated dead end city street, and probably less than a dozen kids as of 7:30.
