They do a great job for me. They get all my business for tanned goods.

Here's some light reading on the subject: https://trapperman.com/forum/ubbthreads.php/topics/8070140/3

We use Moyle and have never had any issues, some have. Heck Rocky Mountain Tanners did a moose leather for me and it turned out great, they then messed up and went out of business.

I was looking for a firm or person to do a home tanning demo at our WTA. I did not have luck finding anyone who was willing or they were not wanting to cut into their business. I don't recall the names of the firms but when I
Googled fur tanning businesses in WI there were several more listed then I thought there would be. You could try that and see if you can make a connection with one or more.

Ruined a bunch of fox for me a few years back. Had a hard time even selling them for wall hangers. Leather was ripped torn and terrible. Not sure what happened. Have had enough tanned to know it was on their end not mine. I've stuck with Moyles after that. Shipping kills me to either place

I had the same issue as turtledale. They did a terrible job on some red fox and coyote. Way too rough on them leaving numerous holes and matted fur. If I have any more fur tanned, I'll send it to Moyle's again. They always provided very high quality tanning. I still haven't been able to sell the fox or coyote for more than I have in them.

57 years trapping. It's who I am. Every day is still as exciting as it was when I was a kid but a little more work.

Is it more trouble than it’s worth to DIY?
