Get a he of Rusty Cramer and the Idaho trappers association I'm sure there's a member close by that maybe willing to help you out .
I'd also go visit the chat section and say hello in the Idaho chat .

Keep up the good work and as mentioned the first one is the toughest !

Thanks everyone for the advice! I reset the traps last Thursday and used the Same trap at the same spot. I also set two more for a total of four. Had bait taken one night but some traps froze solid and one got mud under the pan so it wouldn't fire. I fixed them by moving them above the dirt and hiding with leaves. Today when I checked I had not one, but TWO fox! I couldn't believe it. Feeling very grateful for the advice everyone has shared.

Great job! Stay humble, just when you think you have them figured out, they'll pull a trick on you. Keep after em!

My goal for the whole season was to get a fox, I thought I'd get a lot of skunks or coons before I got a fox.

So now that I've caught it, do I continue to keep my sets in the same spots? Or is this a "one and done" type deal if they're solitary creatures? I see people will reuse the same spots for coyotes but wasn't sure about fox.

Good job partner…. Reset it and then find a couple spots to make new sets

I could have gotten lure or bait on my hands, I think they weren't very solid at first though. I've been watching lots of videos and trying to mimic what they do. I sure tried to find a mentor but when that doesn't work out, you make do!

That's Awesome

Glad you got a double, that is the fun of trapping, studying the set and figuring out how to make it work. You are doing great!
