About the same as usual....... I've gotten about ten so far this year. I don't target them hard until the water gets lumpy and the boat is put away............. I'm still pike hunting.

Do you send them to Mepps? I just drove by their facility in Antigo, got a tour of the place a few years ago. Neat stuff.

I'd like to, but all the tails I'm seeing are pretty poor looking.

I send mine to Mepps. Usually takes a couple years to accumulate enough but they freeze just fine.

Salt the raw end
Let them dry for a few days—keep them straight
Then in a shoebox and into the freezer
Keep them too long though and the hair will slip

I never keep them unless I run low in the tying kit or someone needs some. Mepps is not worth my time.
