Sleeping pattern all screwed up,get home from work and crash,up for a few hours then fall back to sleep.Been up since 2:48,I'm sure I will be tired by mid day,I'll have to fight it and try not to sleep before 10 pm.My nephew is going to sit in my stand this morning, sure hope one of the cull buck or the tall 10 pointer shows up for him.I did a little scouting last evening watching a deer area that we hunt 6 does and fawns were out there at 4:24 4:58 the big buck showed himself.I was glassing them at a half mile,he's a good one 10 pointer 135" to 140" class deer, told my nephew,he'll hunt for him Sunday and Monday evening,if he keeps coming out Mick should be able to get inside of 215 yards.I'm excited for him, hope he's given a chance at him....

I know these warm temps are not helping and now the large full moon, but it sure seems slow here in Mn,are most hunters noticing this, don't get me wrong there has been a lot of really nice deer taken so far up here, but seems slower than normal...

Not nearly the hunters around here either. Shots are few and far between. Opening mornings usually sound like a war but this year I could count the number of shots fired on one hand. Neighbors grand daughter shot her first buck this year. Perfect double lung shot at 80 yards. Everyone is extremely proud of her. That young lady is still smiling!

It started misting about 0800 and turned to snow at 1430. It is still snowing, but showed it will stop at 2030.

Those girls must have a heck of a guide! Nice work and make sure most of that snow is gone for when I get out there the end of the month.

I have nothing clever to put here.

They are talking we could get more Tuesday. From what I saw they got more snow west of here. It is the middle of November.

There were some in the ditch today. Semi's down to cars. The have not figured out it helps to slow down when it is slick.

Finished cutting up the last of my deer this afternoon and now can gear up to get back to trapping Monday after the orange army has retreated from the woods. Have several farms that I can't get on until after deer season so hope the hunters haven't messed things up too bad.

Here we go again, fell asleep way to early again, fell asleep before 8pm another busy day...I will hunt Sunday morning, finally no work this Sunday.I'm heading back into the the end of the poplar island surrounded by the big swamp,my brother and nephew will be further south on the higher ground 300 to 500 yards south of my location. When you look at Google earth you can see the island ridge that I'll be on is part of a 10 mile plus long sand bar from Lake Agassi,we've shot a lot of nice bucks out of that location,it's over a 1/2 mile off the road so when you shoot something back there the works begins after the bang....

Forgot to mention breaking out the 280 for the sit 3.5 x 10 scope, most of the shots from that stand is under 70 yards. My 7MM Mag has a 6.5 x 20 scope too much power for those closer shots 3,5 to 4 power is perfect back in there.Going to try to get back to sleep, report to come later in the day.

You can keep the rain and snow up there for a few more weeks. Canning venison this morning.
Today is the last day of deer hunting in this zone so plan on getting some new sets out tomorrow after doing some scouting this afternoon. Hope everyone has some luck today!
