Windstalker trapper W Joined: Oct 2009 Casco, ME	I just got home tonight from checking my boxes up north for a few days. I’m running 48 of the 155 boxes. This check yielded 5 marten. I missed some as well. First check I got 1 fisher and 1 marten. Been a decent start to the season, especially for me never done the mustelid thing before. The weather needs to get colder to make them move. Big difference in my check this past week with cold and the first week with warmer temps. The marten I’m missing have been with a similar trigger configuration as above. They are sly enough to go under the wires. I changed some back to a V shape and bam had them this time around. Going to try a few pans as well. Maybe I’ll run into you up there Bruce

Use to make my own...when the State would allow us to harvest 15 fisher in the month of December. Now the limit has been 2 ...for the last 4-5 years...not even worth the effort.
