So I hunt several sites. One borders two state highways. Deer of all sizes are destroying cars on a daily basis. At my home (100 acre farm) some miles away there is little traffic. When I hunt the highway site I kill anything that jumps by. I shot a eight point Friday and a bambi Saturday. I mean bambi at the beginning of the movie when he first meets the rabbit named thumper. When I hunt a little more off the path of cars I only shoot does or big bucks. Have a plate in the kitchen for all size deer. Just simple math in my head. I get crap a lot from folks. Your perspective?

Tiny deer matter

Money cannot buy you happiness, but it can buy you a trapping license and that's pretty close.

As stated, smaller deer taste better. I don't eat nearly as much venison as years ago so now I just look for horns. We are only allowed 1 deer a year here. It is a personal choice that we all get to make.

I have nothing clever to put here.

All i know is I have fed a lot of folks over the years. Someone recently got in my ear recently so I am venting. People who know me do not normally do that. I must look weak! lol

Never apologize for killing what you want.

Some people have the time to wait for a big buck.
Some only have a day or 2.

I've shot a few truck loads of young deer. Enjoyed every one.

swampgas chili and schmidt beer makes for a deadly combo

You have to remember that 1 out of 3 Democratic Voters is just as dumb as the other two.

The purpose of having hunting seasons are to lessen the deer population…. Shoot whatever you have a tag for …

Shoot what you want to. Not sure why people have a problem with shooting smaller deer. I prefer eating spike/crab claw forties and does, myself. Sure won’t pass on any shots at big bucks, but they aren’t a priority to find.
