So...my birds are in a molt..so very little if any eggs now.

Just paid 6.99 for an 18 pack of eggs at our local Market basket Grocery store.

Is it just the Northeast getting screwed ovah...or everyone ??

Maybe, walmart eggs have been cheap, way under 3 dollars a doz, local Lidle just dropped to 2.65

I am in the same boat - girls are in molt and little ones aren't big enough to start laying. Have 4 1/2 dozen left, but that won't make it thru the holidays.
Stores here in southwest missouri are around the $4 a dozen mark. Supposed to go higher.

new avian flu outbreaks drive them up for about 2 months then they come back down , then boom back up again

some saying bird migrations , with many sick or carrier birds spreading it , I am not sure I buy that , if a wild bird isn't allowed in a bird house or within 100 yards of it , that seems somewhat unlikely

The liberals keep making stupid chicken rights' laws that drive up the costs of eggs. Germany has insane laws, where you can't cull male chicks after 13 days of incubation in the egg. California is chasing Germany.

Thank god my young hens are just starting to lay . Im getting 4-5 eggs a day just gave a dozen and a half away yesterday .

Chickens at our kids farm are still laying enough eggs for our needs. I'm almost curious to stop at local IGA Grocery store but sure the price will be outrageous.

Homegrown eggs at NAPA are tree-fitty a dozen. If you're close to an Aldi they're probly as cheap as you'll find.

2.50 a dozen from my neighbor.

We charge 3 dollars a dozen and move them fairly fast. Have sold 33 doz so far this month.

Homegrown are the best with the bright orange yolks.
