In the world of 'Me, Myself and I" what should be done may well be far different than what will be done. The current estimate is that there is about 1.7 billion dollars being paid to all atheletes in all sports. Most are minimal in amounts but some are significant.

They signed a contract. You play and you recieve an all expense paid education. If you skip, then you didn't fulfill your agreement. Then you use the NIL money to pay for your education. Quit your team, your school and yourself. Then you'll quit when things in life get really tough. Quitters never win in the long run.

Sarge Clearly you have no idea what sort of “contract” they signed or what it does or doesn’t say.

M.Magis. you clearly do not understand what it means to sign your name and commit to something. Your not one of them snowflakes are you who wants everything but doesn't care to earn it. This conversation is over. I will not reply back. I made my point. A signed agreement or contract is just that. You have an obligation to fulfill it. End of discussion.

If we all played it safe. Then nothing would get accomplished. And this country would be in communist hands. I signed a very important contract at 17 years old with my parents permission. I was not pressured into it. I felt it was my right and obligation to give back. Once you sign, hard to backtrack. But, then again. I'm proud to be a less then 1% percenter so folks have the right to think and say what they want
If you can live with your decision. Then OK. Carry on. Sarge

For me it's made non playoff bowl games unwatchable. And maling team/conference comparisons based on said games even more absurd. Only.players going full out in these games are guys on bubble of getting drafted or not or auditioning for next season.

What about the guys who got hurt in game 2 or 6 or 10? I never understood setting out a bowl game for risk of injury. They could get injured in practice so should they not practice? Was game 2 more important than the bowl game? I doubt it. School gets way more money for playing the bowl game than playing game 2. If it's on the schedule there should be no opting one way or the other. You signed up to play, so play. By bowl time, players likely have agents in their ears letting them know where they stand as to where they'll be drafted, if at all NIL contracts are probably changing this

Sarge Clearly you have no idea what sort of “contract” they signed or what it does or doesn’t say. Obviously it dose not say they have to play in bowl games.

If good enough for NFL. Then they have nil deals and insurance policies worth millions. Can't live on a few.million . Too bad. You have a degree. Use it. Also, if you are good as you think you are. Then become a coach. They make millions as well.

Sarge Obviously their contracts are fairly weak in favor of the players because they hit the transfer portal as soon as they figure out they won't be playing anytime soon or there's a better NIL if they go somewhere else.
