What does he mean by "outs"...?

What were the prices from last year, using say a 3-4 XL top grade?

I wonder why he never mentions eastern ND and SD, we often have some decent "northern heavies". I wonder if he (they) still use "Colt Fur" (or whatever they are or were called) as their Dakota subsidiary)??

I think he is referring to smalls, damaged, off color, blue/black leather as outs. Stuff that has little or no market.

Same ad last year, some less.

Not exactly good news.

"Outs" are Early season catches, smaller than maybe 2XL, or at least XLG, any damage, most dog caught coons. Color doesn't seem to matter anymore, degree of prime and size is what matters. JMO

What would you guys say is the minimum amount you would take for a put up coon?

What about for a coon in the round?

They are not worth catching to sell in my opinion.

Before the coon crash, in that short period where they had a little value, I averaged about 6 bucks over 3 years for our crummy coon, put up or green, not worth my time...and it's worse now.
For 20 bucks I'd catch them again, but probably won't happen in what time I have left.

For midwest coon he said $6 for green and $10 for put up...unless I heard it wrong.

Back around 1980 I was getting $25 for my XXL western Oregon coons. That would be about $95 in todays money. So if coon prices get up over $80 somebody send me a PM OK?
