I see what looks like a "non-typical" point. Drop tines drop down from the main beam.

I believe this is a drop tine, but only my opinion
Many would call it a 3rd beam, but it doesn't come from the base area though

Nice buck

It is a VERY unique rack for sure. There is a point on the other main beam that looks to come off another tine too. That is certainly on that is worth hanging onto.

I have nothing clever to put here.

Are you saying deer don't have horns but have antlers? lol. horns don't fall off antlers do and that's the difference and your correct if so. I both smile and Cringe when I here antlers called horns. smile because it reminded me of my wife's grandfather poppy that always called them horns and his backwoods country ways . Cringe because outdoors men should know the difference. I figure many do and just say horns out of habit especially the old timers that care less what others think.

it's not necessarily what I think of as a drop tine but it may be I don't know much about scoring and technical things scoring them. But it's a very cool and unique rack if you ever decide and fine out let us know so we can all learn something.

That would likely be considered the main beam and the forked tine coming off of it would be measured as a point with the fork as an abnormal point.

But, that is if it was looked at by someone measuring for an "official" score.

To me, it's a unique rack and a cool buck! Congrats!

Date is wrong on camera - was night before last. What do you call this - both main beam tips take a down turn

That's still the main beam, it just drops down at the end

In my nonexpert opinion this is the main beam
[Linked Image]
But it would take an X-ray to confirm it
Again, just my opinion

I agree on Wetdog's assessment of WhiteCliff's buck.

Most drop tines come of the main beam and point "down" why they are called that. NOT on the ends. Above pics are just main beams curved downward not considered drop tines....

This is what I would call a double main beam.

No that deer will score as having a split G-3 . 3rd main beam has to branch off before the G-2 or out of the skull itself.
