Easy to do......remove exposed pet food.......keep all people food in plastic containers........buy victor metal treadle mouse trap......super glue 1/2 peanut or slivered almond on metal......tape or glue trap to 6x6 piece of cardboard.......set trap and place where mice seen or have crapped.......2 days max you'll have it.....the glue traps are too torturous for me to see....if attic....basement.....house.....are not sealed....its a never ending fight and they carry so much bacteria,....disease.......parasites ......I cannot co- habitate with them....leave new trap out 24/7....nuts will not mold and you'll have the next visitor before you have time to see it....

Try switching to peanut butter or chocolate as bait—it sticks better. Place traps along walls or corners where mice tend to travel. Use gloves to set them so you don’t leave human scent. Also, if the trap’s been out a while, they might be getting wary, so switching to a new trap or live trap could help

I'm thinking about a drop of chocolate syrup on the existing bait( peanut butter) or bread ball. Couldn't hurt. But , I will try pure chocolate itself. Dang mice.

Ignoring them it seems. Did find one snap cleaned. Maybe he's getting desperate. All food has been removed. Added some chocolate and trying chocolate syrup on a few. Smelled.and tasted almost too good to use on snaps. But we shall see soon.

Bait switch up helps a lot, as well as changing style of trap OR set, ie: try setting the trap sideways against the base board with double sided tape to hold it up. It works.

No bait. In this reference, the yarn was suggested as a change up since bait wasn't working. Offering nesting material can connect on the mouse when other baits have failed.
