You probably want to talk to an ADC guy. I don't think we can legally trap the little tree rats here.
I have nothing clever to put here.

You probably want to talk to an ADC guy. I don't think we can legally trap the little tree rats here. Can they sell them if caught on a ADC license. I don't think they can sell ADC beaver legally in MN, can they? It seems like I have seen that posted on here, but I am not 100% since I am not from MN.

We have a lot of black ones around here but you can't trap them, you can only shoot them during the season. That is what I thought but wasn't sure. I know the DNR considers them small game. I run 50% blacks here I would guess.

The laws can be completely different between places. So maybe you should look into Wisconsin or Michigan… those guys might be more willing to let you trap.

Check the MN regulations. I thought I read where you could trap squirrels during small game season.
The deer have a pretty good chance this season. Hunters are getting older and millennials think meat comes from stores.

We have quite a few grey and fox squirrels in our woods. We had a couple people ask if they could hunt them a few times. I told them they could, but not to shoot the few black ones. My wife likes seeing them and likes having them around. They are rather rare here.
We had more squirrels, but a few years ago a fisher moved in and cleaned out a good portion of the squirrel population. One day I watched a fisher chase a grey squirrel round and round on an oak tree. Wish I could have caught it on film. A fisher is one cool animal.

Check the MN regulations. I thought I read where you could trap squirrels during small game season. According to the MN regulations, it is permissible to take rabbits, hares, or squirrels by hunting or trapping.
