Anyone do silicone/acetone waterproofing clothing?
I want t do a couple of jackets and a pair of pants. Don't know how much silicone per piece.
I did a sheet for a tarp this summer saturate in a bucket method and had to do it over with a paint roller.

Filson tin cloth is great. But it's expensive as can be (worth it if you can swing it). What I've found over the years is that you can put their wax coating on just about anything. So I have a few pairs of pants I've waxed, a couple hickory shirts, and a Carhartt jacket and I think the wax is like $5-$7 for a tin

There used to be, probably still is, a spray on water"proofer" used for ski clothing among others, I recall it was a blue and black can. Might be ok for temporary water proofing /water resistance .

Many years ago, I frequently sprayed silicone on my leather bird hunting boots. I killed all the fish in an aquarium when the overspray settled out of the air. If you spray anything, do it outside.

I did this method to my jacket and vest, outstanding results and far cheaper than alternatives
