Bend em straight back behind the trap so that the wires are pointed to the back of the box. Give em a "clean" entrance.

For my dry trail mink sets i like this setup for the 155s. I get quite a few coon with these also even though i set them low for the mink. I like the little bend ups on the ends as they seem to grab better and i blend a little grass on them to keep it trail looking. I don't run boxes but like sniper said, i like to give them an open look. Good luck.

Thanks to both posts.......have spot in barn...off ground that only racoon use......with no bait .......and plan to trap and dispatch all.in one.....2 years ago.....set vertical on post in sqaure bucket.....caught only one...clean hit...but think horizontal wood box will work better with correct wire bends

I really enjoy the comradery.....and instant help on this site.....not the usual key board warriors on internet......it really eats up data on my phone fast though.....will be on here sparingly in future.....thanks to trappers who posted......have good Christmas and new years.....will post results of coyote trap progress when winter breaks...if not sooner....unless I'm eaten by one first.
