Some cheap tarps and a trip to Lowe's for some quick set concrete helped me out for a bit.

Like like like everything here. I’ve had my truck for many years and I’ve learned a lot about handling AND momentum. Also learned to avoid routes with too many inclines that have stop signs or stop lights at the end. My truck has low miles and even lower on the engine so I hate to have to trade it in for 4wD especially since our winters are considerably mild. However they CAN be wet and soggy and muddy which makes trapping and getting to my sets in a timely manner a problem.
Prob gonna go with that tube sand if I can find it !
Thanks all!

Lowes always has the tube sand around here. Usually back around the sackcrete and stuff. I usually use 5 or 6 tubes in my little nissan

The biggest snow tires that'll fit your truck will definitly help a lot. I pull up to a stone wall and throw a bunch of large rocks in the back of my 2 wheel drive Ranger, at the end of use just drop them back into a stone wall somewhere, why waste my money on sand!

You're in PA, shouldn't take long to remember where there's a couple.

If you are on pavement, skinnier tires will cut through the snow better. Wide tires will cause you to float.

If snow sticks around all winter there, winter tires rock. Duratracs are among other good ones. If it’s deep, speed is your friend as long as it’s not half a mile of deep stuff…lol. To get to the shack a couple years ago it was a lot of speed, then hung up, shovel, back up and giver….repeat.

Word of advice never buy a 2 wheel drive truck if you’re an outdoor person

No need to worry about frozen paws. It will actually make the coyote more comfortable until it reaches its ultimate demise upon your arrival.

FWIW2U: In the fall when I go fishing up at W Alton on the Mississippi, I will fill a couple of buckets with sand from the bar, and use that for weight. Also handy for throwing in front of the wheel for traction. Come spring, I'll dump it in the garden to help loosen the soil.
