Do you have a favorite plucker?

I like pheasants, and geese plucked for the smoker.

I don't like doing it by hand.

Google shows a bunch different ones.

I have used the Go Devil Duck Picker and have been very impressed with it. I haven't made the investment myself but one day I'd like to have one. Till then I am stuck with sore thumbs

Gotta live up to the nickname...

Have not used it in aa looong time and cannot remember the brand. Seemed made out of a large (8 inch?) pvc cap with mandrel bolted on the end. I had many small black rubber fingers tha came though from the inside. Attached to a 3hp electric motor. Fabbed up a shroud from a 6 gallon bucket with a hole cut in the bottom for my shop vac hose. plucked duck "clean as a ba by's butt" as long as the birds were dry. I would also rough pluck them so the fingers could get into the down. Worked great on ducks and geese.

I used to get the replacement "fingers" from Cabelas. Needed them from hitting the occasional broken bone. Back then I was doing lots and lots of ducks and geese and really needed it. Now if I want a plucked bird I usually wax them or hand pluck them.
