DA just dropped the manslaughter charge. Judge told jury to come back Monday to consider lesser charges.

Judge said the jury could not rule on any of the lesser charges unless first reach a verdict on the 2nd-degree manslaughter. Now he dismisses this,, I feel it's a set up to get the lesser charge and 4 years in prison. Totally a conspiracy!

I think it is ridiculous that after the closing arguments that the DA can't just drop a single charge in order to try and procure a more palatable lesser conviction. Should have to run what you brought. Fact is he isn't guilty of anything but they want a conviction come (This word is unacceptable on Trapperman) or high water

Well prosecutors are lawyers too. Just because they are on the "right" side doesn't preclude them from being sleaze balls like many criminal defense lawyers are.

They all want to win their case, so they get a reputation ,and can charge more money to their clients .

Both want to get the case over with as little work as possible. Instead of justice they like plea deals.

Plea deals are sure things instead of gambles. Both get guaranteed paydays with plea deals instead of going to jury and rolling the dice. Plus they get to move on to another case faster to get more money.

Justice in this country is a racket. There are a few good judges and lawyers but they are like albino otters or black coyotes. Hard to find and hard to catch.

This man potentially saved everyone on that subway. He should get a freedom medal and a key to the city.

Instead you actually have a lawyer who is trying to prosecute this guy. He risked his life to save people and now he is being punished.
