Well, southern Tug Hill got hammered by the lake effect last night. 24” over night on top of 12” we already had. Still a lot less than northern parts of the plateau received last week. Barnes Corners around 65”.

Kids will have great fun on their skidoos.
Used to love those big snowstorms back in the day in high school, put a mickey of southern comfort in each skidoo boot and go pick up the girls for rides.

Forget that fear of gravity-get a little savagery in your life.

Drank Southern Comfort at my Senior Corn Roast ..till I puked.

The smell of it ...takes me back 50 years ...

Tug Hill is a 2100 sq Mile plateau between the Adirondacks and Lake Ontario. Separated from the Adks by the Black River Valley.

Paul Smith's is 2 1/2 hrs away from my home. PSC is in the Adirondacks, it’s the largest college campus in the world. At one time the college owned 50,000 acres. I went to Paul Smiths, graduated in 1973 with a Forestry Degree.
They get snow in the Adks but not like the Tug Hill Plateau.

I've been reading about some of the crazy snowfall amounts up in that area. Amounts like that just make everyday life much more difficult.

Eh...wot?

I am north of you , in the lee of Georgian bay. We have been getting snow for the last week. We tend to expect it. My dad used to say, The North wind will blow, and we will get snow. Good for the snow mobilers and skiers. I am lucky , I am too old to do either, just look out and enjoy the scenery. old243

Wayne, we got about an inch last night down here by the river. Maybe 6-8” on the ground.

Yup, my sister lives in Lake Delta, near Rome, they got 12” last night. We dodged the lake effect bullet last week, but got hammered last night. My friend in Croghan received 60” last week. All hinges on wind direction off that darn Lake Ontario.

My trapping partner graduated from Paul Smith in ‘72 with a forestry degree.
