… looks like there may be more work involved in the scent proof packaging than the making of the stuff lol

… it’s stout !

That was actually from an earlier batch. It was formulated back in June. I have one customer who buys a bottle e very year and puts it on a shelf for a year. He said when aged one year, it's just right for him.

I am a bit surprised by the first comments in this thread. I tried skunky back breaker this year for the first time but was very underwhelmed with the smell. I even had a friend (non trapper) with a sensitive nose test it and they got didnt get any skunk smell. My jar has a weird rotten meat type smell over the standard back breaker and I figured that was what paul was going for. I may have to give it another try next year and order another jar for next season and give it a second shot. I was sort of expecting something close to a cross between back breaker and cavens gusto but thats not what i got.

I never had the issue referenced above, everytime I got it in, it was sho nuff skunky and beaver castor strong. Savell and I caught a lot of critters on that lure.

I remember a beaver trapper friend that used Skunky Back Breaker one year on his beaver line and waylaid the chisel tooths.
He commented that his lure wasn't over powering with skunk but had just enough skunk to give it a little extra kick to call them flat tails.
Think he caught 90 plus beaver that year

I have not had that experience at all. I can easily smell both Castor and Skunk, even at cold temps.

I have nothing clever to put here.

I have had good luck with it on marten & wolverine. I also used the dirt from the packaging and caught a couple reds although they showed an inclination to roll.

The packaging was just as potent as the product !!

Good stuff IMO !
