Agree with Savell, they're tourist traps. I've been in one in Alabama last year and they have a lot of stuff (95% you don't need) but if you're looking for low prices just drive right by. I don't know what they're trying to be but it's jumbled mix of crap.

In my opinion they can't hold a candle to Kwik Trip. Are you asking because they have one possibly being built by Deforest?
I did find it funny that Kwik Trip bought land right nearby after Bucee's announcement, and are building a huge distribution center there.

Exactly what I was going to say.

Closest one to me is 80+ miles

Never a line at the pumps (must be 100+ at the one in Terrell Texas)
Clean bathrooms
Every kind of snack you can imagine
Good food
You can buy all kinds of stuff
Cheap corn (Texans feed the wildlife a LOT)
Cheap Ice

I have NEVER seen a sign with the price of their fuel.
Pretty sure it is higher than most but probably could be .50/gal higher and people would still flock to them

Only one I ever walked out of was in Madisonville Texas on a Sunday afternoon. It was packed with people

Buc-ee's has never permitted 18-wheelers at its locations, saying that "the company’s parking lots and driveways aren't designed to accommodate truckers", a policy that has angered some truckers.[8][9]
(from LA trappers link)

Then how do they get fuel and store items???????? Nough for me. Never been in one. Now I never will.

Bukees wanted a TIF district for the privlege of putting a bucees in Deforest

Kwik Trip said hold my beer , built the largest KwikTrip and put in a ball field and didn't ask for any TIF distric then said , wait let us put in a distribution center also
this basically killed bucees chance at moving on on Kwik Trip market without shelling out a LOT of cash to do it.

edit : correction largest Kwik Trip is in Kenosha county but the one in DeForest is big also.

I’ve been in a couple. They were clean and the workers were all friendly. I will stop again.
