The Intermountain Fur Harvesters are having an early sale at the Athol Community Center in Athol, Idaho Dec 13 and 14. We will be taking fur 3:00 to 8:00 P.M. on Friday and 7:00 to noon on Saturday. We are trying this early sale to try to put a little money in trappers pockets for Christmas. We will still have our regular sale in March. We hope to see our local trappers there.

For those not familiar with your sale, how about a bit more info.

Type of auction - open or sealed bid.

Commissions?

Just stretched/dried fur or do you sell green/carcass goods?

What about other items - tanned fur, antler, teeth/claws, traps?

5% commission for members 10% for nonmembers. You can join our assoc. when you enter your items.
We will take anything trapping related but let me say our buyers don't seem interested in carcass goods. Teeth, claws, skulls seem to sell well. If you bring in raw skulls or anything bloody please have it in something that won't leak.

Sorry this took so long. I thought I had a virus when I couldn't get on Trapperman and it wasn't until tonight that it finally started working again. The sale was pretty small by our standards but turned out ok. We had ten buyers counting a couple of small craft buyers and one buyer who showed up but left when he saw the amount of fur.

Seems like you are missing some species of fur. Coyote and bobcat to name a couple. Might be too early for bobcat but I know for sure there were coyotes there. Thanks

Our bobcat season opened Saturday so these are cats left over from last year. We probably missed out on some fur because cat trappers were setting traps on the opener.
