Made in Germany - Stihl Rollomatic ES the shop said stihl quit making the wide tired bars like I had because they kick back so badly. said stihl was the only company that was making them a d finally had enough legal issues they stopped making them. About 29 years with my saw I never had an issue but that just what I was told yesterday. True or not I don't know.

Those green coded bars & chains are lawyer BS too! We use all yellow, and concentrate on preventing operator error, the real cause of kickbacks!

Be safe. The bar end was coming apart. The muffler also must have been rusted out bad enough it came apart the last time I used it as well. your reading comp is fine. More like my adhd brain is all over the place and my writing is hard to follow. And that's not even counting all my typos.

All my saws have Stihl bars with the exception of one Oregon bar on a 261. I flip the bars every time I replace the chain. I have never had to put on a new sprocket. I cut anywhere from 15-25 cord a year.
Why or when is a new sprocket required to be replaced? I have a new one for each saw just never replaced.
