Agree with the freedom of speech part, but not with the ethics involved when you have birdbrain millionaires cashing in on something people died to protect.

I don't agree either, but it's their right. Also, what does monetary status have to do with ethics? Would you feel differently if they made 50 grand a year, or even less?

Well some people have more brains then others.they still play the anthem at my grandsons highschool basketball games and ask everyone to remove there hats and stand if your able to. Guess iam old fashioned but if you can't stand for the flag out of respect for our people that have served and currently serving you can get the he** out of the united 🇺🇲 and row across the pond.

One only needs to look back some 80 yrs to see that your statement is false. Both Allied and Axis forces carpet bombed civilian populations killing MILLIONS of innocent men, women and children which at the time was considered acceptable. The Romans, Huns, and the English all raised entire cities killing every citizen they could find.

FYI Native Americans also killed women and children. All of which were acceptable at the time.

I totally agree with you that it's their right. I'm just pointing out that they are making millions when people died to protect their freedom to do so. They wouldn't play for 50 grand. Thankfully, most people have a conscience and appreciate what we have in this country thanks to our men and women who have given their lives for this freedom.

I remember years ago when the TV station didn't show coverage until right up to kick off. So no one even saw the players during the anthem. They didn't have the stage to show their protest back then.

You're right, it was about the money. Technically the players are employees and are at work. There are company policies they have to follow without getting fined. My former employer warned an employee during the 2016 election to take off his polical hats and t-shirts as it violated company policy. Not sure what he could have done about it. He complied to keep the peace.

The soldiers who have served, fought, and died, for all freedoms and forms of expression. We may not like it but I spoke to many veterans that have told me just that. Their words: I fought for everyone's rights if I agree or disagree with them.

So they like open borders too ?
