How many of you ice fish?

used to , haven't in a bunch of years , between sad ice and so much else to be doing , it just doesn't happen

maybe this year , but sad ice still and I really need to be spending time cutting fire wood

I have my gear yet , think I should go every year then next thing I know the ice is out again.

Not anymore, too busy with other things that I enjoy more.

I can't swim so I keep my butt out of and on top of the pool
But I love fishing for small mouth in the winter
I have an friend coming over tomorrow to catch a few

Not anymore. Having to take care of my wife I can't take any chances of slipping and falling even though my front yard is a chain of lakes. I catch enough fish in fall to get me through the winter. I do miss the serenity of waiting for flags on quiet nights like tonight.

Havent for a couple of years, too hard on my joints.

I do but the ice has been really sketchy around me the last several years.

65-70 years ago, my step-father brought me out onto the middle of a lake. Probably below zero, no shelter. Dug out a hole or two with a spud, scooped out all the ice chips with my bare hands. Watched those stupid vacant holes for hours. Caught Nothin'.

Ain't no way I'd ever even think about it; let alone actually do it. do it again

I like to ice fish. I prefer open water but enjoy the different challenges ice fishing brings. Ice fishing seams to open up opportunities to some that dont otherwise fish. I was out today, nice day!
