Saw this one dead on the road, driving down the same road the next night saw 4 run from the grader ditch toward his barn. Only ones I've ever seen in person

Got a tanned one around here somewhere. Cobbled up a 'fur hat' for my grandson for a school program, when he was a little feller. Teacher requested he have a fur hat. smile

He will be 21 in February. eek

What a fine prize! That would be hard to say who should get it. Who has been trapping the longest? Who put in more sets!? Who set THAT particular trap?
Gorgeous color, congratulations

Just a thought, My buddy and I doubled up on a 165 inch 5x5 white tail almost 30 years ago, We both paid half the taxidermy bill. We both displayed him 6 months a year in our house. We did that for 25 years until my friend moved to Michigan and didn't have room for him, Lucky me. he now hangs in my house year around.

That's a true cinnamon!

Congrats!

Gonna be difficult to find a better one or equal one than that.

That's a real cool looking coon. Congrats!

It's not always about catching fish. That's what people who don't catch fish usually say.

Or...they could chainsaw it in half. That way nobody gets an eye poked out.

In the 70’s and early 80’s we had some of the best coonhounds alive and hunted nearly every night. 200+ raccoons a season was common. I caught one in my life and it wasn’t as nice as that one

Here is the scenario. I've been sending my trapping videos to about a dozen buddies every morning this season. It has in turn got 3 of them into the sport. This buddy asked me to come help him and I can have the coon he catches. I help with trap selection, bait, location, etc. He traps this cinnamon phase coon on his 8th catch(no joke). So he brings it over to my place. I told him he needs to tan it. He was actually going to toss it as he thought something was wrong with it. So, he was going to give it to me for helping him and I told him to get it tanned at least.
