Where do you live? You need a good taxidermist. Most are horrible with cats.

Congrats on a great northern cat with nice rosette's,most are rabbit backs.Out of 104 bobcats I've caught over the years 5 have had nice rosette backs.There right on finding a taxidermist that is really good on cats are hard to find.Welcome to T man and happy new year....

I live in the south metro. I’ve got a buddy that has done a ton of cats. I’m going to bring it up to him to skin and I’ll look at his work at the same time. I agree. About 1 in 20 cats actually look good. Maybe less.

When the partridge season ends I might get a little serious about setting some cat sets.

No cats on the their return loop yet,running out of time...I did catch a nice big male red fox in a urine set in a MB 450 on a drag,didn't want to catch and hold a wolf so that's why the 450 was used,however 12 -13 years ago I did hold and release a wolf in a MB 450 held it by two toes.So I have one more piece of fur for our tanned fur project,no rub yet with our snow conditions now they'll start rubbing soon.

Rick here is you fox before you caught it and before it is fired. It is 100% glass, colored glass powder and will be melted into one at about 1425 degrees F.

I got a Ruffed grouse today as well sort of...when I got home today one had flown in the work truck window.He'll be tomorrow's lunch.

Spent the night at my brother's on my way home from Kansas. Got a text last night from one of my neighbors showing a bobcat walking through the back yard. Typical, while the cats away, the mice will play. Hope to get a few sets put for it tomorrow.

Heading out to see if any cat came back through or the one coyote that hasn't been back for about 6 days,with the colder temps coming he should be back in the next day or two.Hope to get out ice fishing tomorrow one last time before I head out west,have a great day everyone.
