While the exact numbers aren’t public, we have a general idea of how much NFL refs make.

Using expired versions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement, we know that an NFL referee’s average salary is approximately $205,000. If an official works 18 games throughout the season, this means they are paid roughly $11,400 per game.

Refs used to make closer to $150,000, but their pay has increased in recent years as the league has grown.

These numbers are collectively bargained by the NFL and NFL Referees Association, which reached a seven-year agreement on a new CBA in 2019. This CBA will expire on May 31, 2026, which is when the two sides will meet again and try to ratify a new deal.

More like manipulated. They are and it's been more obvious the last few years. There's a reason why officials are not interviewed after the games like players are. Imagine of a referee had to take the podium after making some really bad or questionable calls. I don't care what anyone says. It's not sports, it's a business. It even said that on the back of the tickets for legal reasons.

That article doesn't mention anything about throwing games, unless I missed something.

Anything that needs programmed by human is susceptible to being rigged. For example, lottery machines, slot machines, and voting machines. When the Powerball game was rigged at least 5 times by the head lottery security guy, it was realized that nothing is safe.

So how does this game fixing work? Is there one big super secret meeting at the beginning of the season where the outcome for the season is determined, or is the meeting held before each game?
And are only those that know the super secret handshake invited or what?
