THEBOY OP trapper T Joined: Dec 2023 Posts: 9 NE	I have caught a rubbed boar coon today and was wondering if the rubbing has started yet because I’ve never had rubbing this early. Has anyone else noticed this I thought it started mid January. I love trapping and skinning animals

bblwi trapper B Joined: Dec 2006 Posts: 12,037 East-Central Wisconsin	Rubbing can come from crawling in and out of holes, dens, buildings as well as rutting season. What I notice even more in the later season is the smell. Those males in January smell bad and are rubbing and breaking up. Females I trap for land owners in May and June are butt ugly as well.
