Caught a 92 and 90.5 last year and heard of a 100 pounder caught 60 miles south. Those are beasts. Never seen or heard of anyone getting any that big. Are those your PB beaver? My partner caught 75lb’r but he swears that he saw a 100lb’r. Never saw him again.

72# for me. The biggest in my county that I know of was 90#. Furbuyer said he had to use 2 beaver boards to board it. I think the current world record is 110# out of wisconsin. They never stop growing so if they live long enough they can get monstrous. If you got areas that are out of the way places where they dont become nuisances, or find places that havent been trapped in years, you can get big ones. I used to catch a bunch in the 60# range here i havent seen that in a while. I know some spots that have the possibility of some old guys but they're on fed land that cant be trapped most of the time for beaver. I am definitely in an area that doesn’t see much pressure. The rumor is that Last guy that trapped this hut got an 80lb’r.

I've caught several over the years that were 71-73 lbs. Nothing any bigger after about 9000 beaver to my credit.
BTW, a Hudson Bay Brigade leader reported in his brigade journal that several 100# + beaver were caught in Oregon's Blue mountains in the 1820's.

72 here. Fun to carry back into the wind across an open plowed field too. I think I remember having to carrying it back to truck more than the beaver itself. Ha ha.

Money cannot buy you happiness, but it can buy you a trapping license and that's pretty close.

Yeah those are pb’s-got a few in the 70s and an 82 the last few years. It seems like to get in the 90s they have to be really long as the round ones seem to max out in the 70s.

68 lbs also. Seems to be a common number. Makes me curious how many of these were caught in moving water vs. ponds and lakes. Seems I've caught a few right about that same size always in a creek or river, so I wonder if they don't top out just shy of 70lbs in a moving water environment, and have the opportunity to get fatter in a pond? Not a biologist, just wondering if there's any connection
