Fishing was good caught my biggest sauger today 19 1/2" 34' 60/40 walleye sauger today one slot 21 1/2" and one 3lbs ish eel pout and 3 smaller perch 8 1/2" to 9 1/2" we don't keep perch under 10".No bobcat tracks one coyote track and a few rabbit tracks.The next time I get out on the lake will be in March,going to work with the bee's a little and play golf about every weekend.Good luck to anyone that still have a few cat sets out.

Saw 2 fox tracks on the road and 1 coyote track today,the little line is pulled,look's like I only have 10 to 11 critters for our tanned fur project this year.Hopefully next year won't be quite so busy Heading into the hockey game shortly -9 now....

Nothing hitting my bait piles. I have a young man who wants to ride along and see how to trap cats but it's been awful quite around here and don't have many sets out. He's still game and wants to learn. With that kind of enthusiasm, how can you say no? Will drive him around and show him some of the areas so he gets an idea, but cats will he cats and go anywhere they please I guess.

20scout things have been slow. This cold weather has helped a bit but not enough. I have some sets that have been in since the beginning of cat season when there was sign there. The cats have not been back in that area at all. It is a different year. I did miss a cat in a step down dirt hole a couple of nights ago. This set is in the middle of a combine corn field. What was he doing out there?

Yep,different year for sure had 3 different cats,nice Tom's guessing by their track size that never came back through.I think they will be back through within the week,but I won't be here to catch,maybe next year,21 days wasn't enough time this year and as far as I know no other local trappers caught any cats around those locations.Good luck to the trappers that still have a few cat sets out.

Neighbors sent me a picture of a tom wondering through their back yard. They had let the chickens out and figured the noise had lured it in. Fortunately for the chickens the cat left them alone.

I had a camera on one of my sets during my trip before Christmas. I pulled the trap but forgot the camera. Yesterday afternoon this picture came through. That’s a big cat. Fun to see that this location was, in fact, a good one.
