Well, my day got cut short. After my second set was checked went to start the outboard and discovered that the gear linkage had come apart leaving it in forward gear. Couple of miles paddling downstream to the landing and got the motor at the Suzuki repair shop now
Update: Just got a call. Boat ready to go. $191 OUCH! A nut came loose on the linkage and was replaced. One hour shop time. Pfft thats only 6 big beavers at the auction. Youll pay that off in no time.
Forget that fear of gravity-get a little savagery in your life.

Bad luck BP
Wow that seems pricey for a "loose nut" by a nut on the loose

Good deal on the otter. BTW, otter skins for newborns has been a Chinese and Korean tradition if I'm not mistaken.

No sir. NC otter were actually caught and transported for many other state's reintroduction efforts I see, our limits are slowly rising...can bag 2 in my county, 1/2 mile away (next county) can get 10. ![[Linked Image]](https://trapperman.com/forum/attachments/usergals/2025/01/full-53773-243344-20250110_184544.jpg) Under ice beav, don't get too many opportunities for those here. 47#

Nice beaver. The only way I ever trapped them mostly was under the ice. We only get about 10-15 days of decent ice here, mostly have to make them come to me to get them.
