About how much are badger worth this year? I have a semi heavy western badger that is medium size with feet on. If the markets good I will just sell it but if it’s not I will tan it then sell it.

Are the feet properly prepped when it comes to bone removal or are the feet/claws just there. Also depends on what color - silvery, dark, etc.

Price could be any where from $10.00 to $50.00 depending various factors. There is a strong market for properly prepped badger with feet.

Pictures would be helpful.

I've always gave $50.00 as a start for heavy large badgers, fur has to be prime as well, it goes up the bigger and paler they are, don't need the paws but like to have them claws are nice to have for projects, been after them for a while now for a coat I wish to make.
If you tan it, better make sure its professional tan, or you won't get close to what is worth !

Want a bid, PM for my addy, you must have a pic to send me as well !

I skinned out the feet till the last knuckle, filled it with borax, and put a hanger in the front legs for them to dry out.

I caught two badgers on a recent trip to Kansas, one large and one medium. Sold them both for $65 apiece in the round.

Sold to licensed taxidermist. No difference between that or a licensed fur buyer.
