It's a national disgrace.......that billions spent on Ukraine/Russian civil war.....when American Veterans would have put those $ to having a better life with their families after Military

I know this forum is not for political purposes, but I think few have my view and I have to speak up....

On the contrary, I think a lot here will have the same view. Those who don't need to look around and see what they all got.
Veterans are slapped in the face in both our countries.

Disgracing veterans is nothing new and much is not government neglect it is or was society in general looking down at us. WW! veterans were denied the pensions they were promised. Black soldiers who fought in WW2 were still discriminated agains. Leavng for and coming home from Nam for me was not a pleasurable experience and that carried through for years if not decades. Even our existing veteran organisations back then did not consider us worthy of membership. To me the monies spent to assist the Ukraine are better spent than much of the politics to deny us adequate opportunities for benefits and other opportunities.

Thank you for your service Bryce.

I agree, veterans should come before foreign interests, always.

I'm fine with that, particularly if it gets you some psychological help grin

Veterans make up over 6% of our population and deserve more than an equal expenditure.

We wasted 150.7 billion dolars on illegal aliens, I would much rather see go to to veterans.

Not sure if I agree or not....

can you clarify, Bryce??

Are you saying monies sent to Ukraine are better spent than they would be servicing U.S. veterans??

Combat Veterans should never pay a dime of any tax again in their lives, IMO.

I think this would be an issue of Patriotism more so than politics.

My question is, seeing things the way they are, why would anyone want to sign up?

You could very well be right. BUT, hopefully that's going to change, quickly. DEI is going away (I hope).

Some us didn't sign up were drafted, was 19 yrs. old . I remember returning home to a world, that I was eager to return to. It was a sad, and bitter place. Asked to remove our uniforms, set in back of planes, people would look at you, and then look. away . Have 2 brothers, who also served in VN, all 3, of us are combat vets, We have some bitter memories, but we never let the D dodgers, haters, beat us ,or lower our pride to there standards of cowardice. We stand tall, salute the American flag and accepted what they throwed our way. Proud of my brothers, and I shake the hand of every vet I run across and say WELL HOME BROTHER
