Been wearing Carhart for years but wondering what everyone else wears? I farm so work outside year round and I don’t like wearing a coat, just a hoody and a vest.

I like the Bernie brand Heritage Thermal-Lined Full-Zip Hooded Sweatshirt. Their zip version works well for regulating my temperature and I prefer to not pull a sweatshirt over my head taking on and off.

I wore what ever the one that Farm Fleet sold back in 1970s -80s? Probably was Dickie? ..
I work construction then building homes. Only wore the zip up type fall and winter. Could never really stand the pull over type hooded sweat shirts so popular now. I still don't care for pull over shirts except for T- shirts. I'm not sure why I developed a dislike for hoods? Usually wear some type of dicky or neck gater and hat.

I prefer a zip up but the water " proof" hoodies are very great idea. As far as brands I used to buy a lot of cathart but unfortunately no longer do since they told their employees to take the expermtal shot ot get fired. I would rather not support that so choose not to. Sadly most of the other options are made overseas.

Wait about 2 weeks every one clearance them. Walmart put theirs on clearance day after Christmas.

I like fleece zip ups, problem is theres no smooth lining so they stick like velcro with pretty much anything you wear under it, so making removal with bum shoulders a challenge, and I get them a size larger to make it easier. Tell my wife I need a man servant, lol

Once upon a time Cabelas had a good Malden mills polar fleece with a nylon lining that was about perfect... This last one is a Duluth shoreman jacket that sticks like glue, going on or coming off...

I have a few zip up Carhart's that I like also , wife got one every year when she worked for the farm co-op with annual uniform allowance , she worked in the office so got zip up hoodies she couldn't wear at work to use the allowance.

I have a Milwaukee that is a favorite right now , but garment quality is only ok

not a huge fan of the fabric but I am a fan of the M12 batteries and heat coils built into it

in my opinion Milwaukee missed the mark , this should be a vest under layer to go under as a layer over your thermals then cover it with whatever over layers you want.

it is thin enough I put it under a Carhart zip up which makes a good combo

a little more bulky in the sleeves than it needs to be but not to bad.

my favorite is my federal range day sweatshirt very warm and soft

I wear them all but Carhart seem to last the longest.

Michael have you tried a heated vest?? Buddy at work has one, cheap one he loves it. The battery pack wasn't that big so wouldn't be that much weight. I'm not sure how many hours you would get out of a battery, he doesn't work in the elements like you would, so doesn't have to use as much battery life at 1 time. Problem his it was like bubble coat material and would rip easy.

Swazi is tough to beat.

white bear clothing makes a lot of the quality named brand hoodies/jackets. I think they were a vendor to Carhart years ago when they had the real heavy/durable hoodies. not the junk they sell now.

Anyways, all the manufactures I've worked with over the years that had high-end promotional gear used White Bear

I just purchased Joe Goodman’s Hunter Trader Trapper hoodie as a Christmas gift for myself. I like it and when I’m wearing it makes me feel like I’m in the outdoors all the time.

Friend of mine just got a Guy Cotton windproof water resistant zip up hoodie that's not bulky, good for winter fishing, I may go that route, he loves his...Not cheap, but looks to be commercial quality.

These are top of my list next time I am shopping for one

Windproof and water resistant fleece

Not buying any more cotton based products for wearing outside for extended periods. They do nothing to keep you warm as soon as you cool off from being inside and wind cuts through them like a knife. Nat Gear one I can wear a cotton t shirt under and stay comfortable down to mid 40's
