Common theme here, a friend or someone I know "I need some money"

Me "okay I have this work to do it pays $15 to $25 a hour and you can have all the hours you want"

They then work for 3 hours and never come back. If you have someone who constantly complains about being broke or needing money I highly suggest making a big pile of wood next to a wood splitter and telling them $15 a hour, it'll cost ya $45, you'll get a small pile of wood and you'll never have to hear them complain again.

You got it man. I can’t make anyone work but if you’re not willing to put in the effort, don’t complain to me. As for me I know how to solve my short term money problem , get up tomorrow and get to work. Not many good workers around anymore it seems.

Friend of mine has a deck hand that gets 40% of the days net. very generous compensation, he thinks he deserves more after accepting the initial deal....These guys are counting your money and think they are partners, thing is they wouldn't be making that money on their own...He'll be leaving soon, lol

I'm not advertising good paying full time job with benefits, I'm trying to help people who can't pay their rent and only work 4 days a week.

My full time employees make better $, I'm hoping one of them takes on more responsibility this summer so I can raise him to $40

For the most part, you get out of life what you put into it. The harder and smarter you work, the more you typically make. Many people, who fail in life, never can grasp that.

Same old, same old. I've had guys beg me for work and take an early lunch and never come back.

This is the reason I went back to work at 68 yrs of age. $18 per hour driving a delivery truck for an auto salvage yard. In my working career I never exceeded 15.45 per hour as a manager working 10.5 hrs a day. Easy peasy. Young pajama people are sickening. But the Gubmint pays them to do nothing and over-reproduce.

The grandson said this past fall he wanted to make some money so the wife hired him to rack leaves.When he showed her the wagon with 5 leafs in it demanding to get paid she said no.He quit.

!0+years ago I pd. 20 dollars an hour for baling hay onto wagons.Most often had to wait for my wife to get off work .

Had a 40 year old guy, said he cut 10 cords of wood a year, liked to work out, had work boots, etc, he made it 30 mins pulling brush.

Doing everything by the book and legal I figure it cost $200 to hire someone before they even start, then they can't even make it a hour, what a joke.

I've seen countless people think they're gonna come make the big bucks in a logging camp, only to be selling off all their tools a few days or a week later so they can get home. And that's experienced guys coming from jobs in the L48 where apparently cutters don't get worked as hard. Or maybe it's the weather that gets to them, remote camp setting, not sure. But a lot of guys don't have what it takes, most don't actually from what I've seen.

LMAO! In 1962 I got paid $.75/hr baling hay taking it off the baler and stacking 7 high on the wagon ALONE! LMAO! Ah the memories!

Just hire out a bunch of Venezuelans, El Salvadorians, or Guatemalans. The Mexicans here done got lazy too.
Should be plenty to find, the last 4 presidents have made sure that there are plenty to pick from. They all live together and will work for cheap!

Keep your six though and don't tick them off or they'll snatch all the equipment you've been providing them in the middle of the night.
